Information on the London Shogi Club, shogi events in or near London, and occasional other stuff. Shogi is Japanese chess, and the key way it differs from regular chess is that when you take your opponent pieces, you keep them, and can 'drop' them back on the board later. It's pretty popular in Japan so you often see it in anime and Japanese art, but it's not very well known in the UK.

PLEASE CHECK - possible April 2014 meeting on 26.04.2014
We don't yet know if there will be a Saturday meeting of the London Shogi Club on 26.04.2014, but we will check with the regulars to see if there will be some people around.
If you want to let us know that you would like to come, feel free to leave a comment here or on Facebook, or send us an email.
I will provide more information when it becomes available.

We don't know if anyone is coming, so we can't run an official club.
ReplyDeletePlayers are welcome to come along, but we can't guarantee that there will be anyone there.
