Online teaching game with Shogi Professional Akira Nishio: tomorrow


As prizes for the World Shogi League 2016, professional shogi players from the Nihon Shogi Renmei are giving online teaching games to members of Division winners.

The second will be on Saturday 28 January 2017 at 2000 Japan time, which is 1100 GMT.

Akira Nishio 6 dan will play Boris Baydenko (borisbaydenko) of Ukraine in even game(hirate).
The game will be played and can be followed on 81dojo.com.

Translation will be provided for teaching comments made by Mr. Nishio

January 2017 meeting will be on 28.01.2017


There will be a Saturday meeting of the London Shogi Club on 28.01.2017. There should be someone around from 11.00am until at least 2pm at Caffe Nero, 10 Bedford Street, London WC2E 7HE.

Everyone is very welcome, regardless of strength or experience.

The nearest rail station is Charing Cross. Embankment, Covent Garden and Leicester Square underground stations are close, but it's best to check which lines are running with Transport for London.

As prizes for the World Shogi League 2016, professional shogi players from the Nihon Shogi Renmei are giving online teaching games to members of Division winners.

The first will be on Saturday 21 January 2017 at 2000 Japan time, which is 1100 GMT.

Oza challenger Taichi Nakamura will play Dion Paull of Australia in a 2 piece handicap game.
