There will be a Saturday meeting of the London Shogi Club on 26.10.2013. There should be someone around from 11.30am until at least 2pm at Caffe Nero, 10 Bedford Street, London WC2E 7HE.
We are also planning to run the club on 23.11.2013, the week before the British Shogi Championship.
Everyone is very welcome, regardless of strength or experience.
The nearest rail station is Charing Cross. Embankment, Covent Garden and Leicester Square underground stations are close, but it's best to check which lines are running with Transport for London.

2013 British Shogi Championships
The 2013 British Open Shogi Championships will be held in Hampstead, London over the weekend of Saturday 30th November and Sunday 1st December.
We do not expect to run a London Shogi club at our normal venue on Saturday, 30th November.

Shogi London blog now reactivated on Blogger
The Shogi London blog was inactive from January through September 2013 due to technical problems. It is now being restarted on Blogger, at shogilondon.blogspot.co.uk.
As before, it will mainly be used to advertise and confirm meetings of the London Shogi Club.

December 2012 meeting
There will be a December meeting of the London Shogi Club on Saturday 15.12.2012 from around 10.30am at Caffe Nero, 10 Bedford Street, London WC2E 7HE. [map].
Everyone is very welcome, regardless of strength or experience.

2012 British Shogi Championship Results
The 2012 British Open Shogi Championships was held in Broadstairs over the weekend of November 24th/25th. The title was won by Steven Cain after a playoff with Daisuke Matsuura.
We had six players in all, so we started with a five round all-play-all tournament. This finished with Steven Cain and Daisuke Matsuura both on 4 out of 5. Steven lost to Daisuke in round three while Daisuke lost to Edward Ishiyama in round four. The title was decided by a playoff game at the same time limit as the main tournament (30 minutes plus 40 seconds a move thereafter). This game was won by Steven.

Probably no November 2012 meeting / British Championship
We have been busy trying to sort out a 2012 British Championship before we run out of 2012.
This was set up very quickly and will be in Broadstairs on 24-25th November.
Most of the British players who would be at the November meeting in London will be in Broadstairs, so we are not sure if there will be a November meeting.
If we have more information I will publish here.
